The Rex Hospital Open is a regular golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It is played annually at the TPC Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States.

The 2011 purse was $550,000, with $99,000 going to the winner.

TPC Wakefield Plantation is a private golf club located within the planned community of Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Hale Irwin designed championship golf course, built adjacent to Falls Lake, opened in 2000 and is a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. It is accompanied by a par 33, 9-hole course.

TPC Wakefield Plantation is the home of the Rex Hospital Open, formerly the SAS Carolina Classic, a tournament on the second tier Nationwide Tour.

The Memorial Tournament is a PGA Tour golf tournament founded by Jack Nicklaus. It is played on a Nicklaus-designed course at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb north of Nicklaus' home town of Columbus. The golf course passes through a large neighborhood called Muirfield Village. There is a statue of Jack Nicklaus teaching a young child how to golf along Muirfield Drive.

As a restricted field event on the PGA Tour, only the first 75 players on the previous year's money-list are guaranteed invites.[1]

One of the main features of the tournament is a yearly induction ceremony honoring past golfers. A plaque for each honoree is installed near the clubhouse at Muirfield. Jack Nicklaus himself was the honoree in 2000.

On the PGA Tour this week, the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance will be held, from the 31st of May to the 3rd of June. Not only is this tournament worth 500 Fedex Cup points, but the purse totals $6,200,000. It is held at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, with Steve Stricker walking away last year with a win of $1,116,000. Other events that are coming up on the PGA Tour include the FedEx St. Jude Classic starting June 7th, and the US Open, which starts on the 14th of June this year.

This course is the Muirfield Village Golf Club, which has a Par Value of 72 and is a total of 7,265 yards long. The winner of this tournament gets the same prize as last year, $1,116,000. Some of the playera participating include Rod Pampling, Bill Haas and Robert Allenby as well as Scott Piercy, D.A. Points, Kris Blanks and Ricky Barnes. Stewart Cink will be playing in this tournament along with Vijay Singh, K. J. Choi and Angel Cabrera. Johnathan Bryd, Bradley Keegan, Justin Rose and Rory Sabbatini are also all expected to attend.
